Community Overview

What is Saddleridge,
and who is it for?

Saddleridge is a community of 218 multi-acre homesites located on the northeast corner of Ranch Road 12 and Ranch Road 32, about 4 miles south of the Wimberley Square. Established starting around 1997, development was largely completed by 2007, leaving a mature community of custom-built Hill Country homes on generous lots ranging from 2 acres to 65 acres.

The terrain across Saddleridge is varied and beautiful — large oak forests, rolling pastures, limestone outcroppings, and panoramic Hill Country views. Many properties are suitable for horses and livestock, and the community has a strong connection to the rural lifestyle that defines this part of Central Texas.

Over the years, I have helped several families find their perfect piece of land in Saddleridge. The buyers who choose this community are almost always looking for space — room to spread out, room for animals, room for kids to run, and privacy. They want to be close to town but not so close that they can hear their neighbor's conversation. — Steve Giannone, Realtor · 40+ years in Central Texas real estate

Steve's take on Saddleridge value

"Saddleridge offers something that is increasingly hard to find anywhere near Wimberley: substantial acreage lots at reasonable prices. A 5 or 10 acre lot in Saddleridge gives you room for a shop, a barn, a garden, and privacy from your neighbors — all while being 5 minutes from the Wimberley Square. For buyers who want Hill Country acreage without being completely remote, this is one of the best options in the area."

People choose Saddleridge for one reason above all others: space. The ability to own 5, 10, or even 50 acres while still being 5 minutes from the Wimberley Square is rare. Residents here enjoy a rural lifestyle — horses, gardens, wildlife, and panoramic views — without sacrificing the convenience of nearby shops, restaurants, and services.

The community clubhouse and pool give residents a place to gather, and the annual HOA fee of around $96 is remarkably low for access to those amenities. The community's Firewise designation also provides peace of mind for anyone living on acreage in the Hill Country.
